FEBSET 45 is a specially formulated repair mortar based on magnesia-phosphate cement pre-mixed with selected aggregates, delivering controlled, extremely high early strengths across a wide temperature range from -20C (or lower) up to over 30C. It can be modified with a 10mm aggregate for use in depths over 100mm and is suitable as a repair medium at low ambient temperatures. When mixed with gauging water, an exothermic reaction begins and a chemical setting process occurs within approximately 15 minutes at 20C. The material hardens to provide high early strength, enabling traffic to resume quickly—within 45 minutes at 20C. It also offers excellent resistance to de-icing salts and has high freeze/thaw resistance, requiring no curing and allowing placement in sub-zero temperatures. It is ready for use by simply adding water, and it can be used for rapid, high-strength bedding or repair applications including manhole cover and channel drain repairs.
