DURABLE IMPACT RESISTANT DESIGN: ExpoDisc v3 is made from impact resistant polycoarbonate materials that will not crack or break, even when dropped. QUICKLY SET WHITE BALANCE: Set your white balance in-camera (no software required), or capture a gray reference image to use with your preferred image editing software when processing your RAW files in post production. In most cameras you can set a white balance in 15-20 seconds. EASIER-TO-USE THAN A GRAY CARD: Simply place the ExpoDisc v3 in front of your lens and capture the incident light while setting your camera's white balance. NEW WIDE SPECTRUM WHITE BALANCE: The ExpoDisc v3 enables precise custom white balance adjustment across the visible spectrum (380nm to 700nm) and extends to the infrared spectrum (700nm to 2200nm). INFRARED (IR) WHITE BALANCE: ExpoDisc v3 maintains excellent light transmission from 350nm to 2200nm allowing for consistent white balance when using infrared (IR) filters for infra red photography. CALIBRATED LIGHT TRANSMISSION: The new ExpoDisc v3 is calibrated to be inline with ANSI standards for digital light meters, ensuring approximately 14% light transmission. IMPROVED EXPOSURE ACCURACY: With this calibration, the ExpoDisc v3 offers a notable improvement of approximately 1/3 to 1/2 f/stop when using it for exposure metering on digital cameras.
