Entering service before the outbreak of the Pacific War, it played a leading role during the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and later participated in the Battles of Coral Sea, Midway and numerous other naval operations. Capable of carrying either a Type 91 aerial torpedo or conventional bombs, the B5N2 proved remarkably effective despite its relatively light defensive armament. Although eventually replaced by newer aircraft, the "Kate" remains one of the most significant carrier aircraft of the Second World War. Glue and paints are sold separately.
