75cl bottle of Allende Blanco Rioja THE WINERY - Finca Allende, the estate created by Brother and sister team Mercedes and Miguel Angel de Gregorio, is located in the hill town of Briones in the Rioja Alta. THE GRAPES - Viura is a synonym for Macabeo and is the most widely planted white grape variety in Rioja. It is a fairly straightforward grape to cultivate, although it is susceptible to disease and in particular to downy mildew and grey rot. TASTING NOTES - Elegant and subtle nose with citrus fruits notes (grapefruit) and fruits with stone (peach and greengage plum), balsamic notes. Lovely textured taste with a great lightness, enormous persistent aftertaste. FANTASTIC WHITE WINE PERFECT TO ACCOMPANY FOOD - Pairs well with salt cod dishes, Serrano and other Spanish ham
