The Finest Filters new and improved range of external canister filters can easily be connected to aquariums up to 1000 litres in size (depending on model), and are suitable for all water types, including coldwater, tropical freshwater and saltwater (marine) aquariums. The filters are available in three sizes - 1000 litres per hour (with 9w UV Steriliser) flow rate for aquariums up to 400 litres, 1400 litres per hour (with 9w UV Steriliser) flow rate for aquariums up to 600 litres, and 2000 litres per hour (with 9w UV Steriliser) for aquariums up to 1000 litres in size. The filter media supplied includes bio balls, ceramic rings and filter floss, for a range of mechanical and biological filtration to provide crystal clear, healthy water in your aquarium. Supplied complete with all pipe fittings and tubing, and instructions to allow for easy setup. All three models are supplied with a 9w UV steriliser built into the unit. The UV steriliser part of this filter is used to control infections by stopping the spread of microorganisms from one fish/coral/invertebrate to another through the water. It is also used to control free floating algae. When operated correctly, free floating microorganisms will be killed by the UV light.
