Expansive Grass L pendant light with handmade lampshade made of natural materials The Grass L pendant light catches the eye with its expansive, rounded shade and can be used wonderfully to illuminate the living room or dining room table. The lampshade is made up of overlapping strips in different Warm colours. It is made from rattan and abacá, a plant species from East Asia that is used to produce marine ropes, for example. Die pendant light brings an attractive, natural note to the living area and creates a cosy atmosphere. The bulb holder is located in the centre of the inside of the shade. This is surrounded by a separate diffuser and ensures that the light is emitted glare-free into the surroundings. With the Grass lamp series, product designer Jette Scheib wanted to express the tranquillity that lies in the traditional weaving process. The natural materials, colours and design mirror the landscape and fields where the materials for the basket weaving are grown. The production of Grass was carried out by the renowned French company Forestier.

Grass Pendant L Green is a beautiful lighting collection with a consistent and coherent design. The series consists of wall, table, floor and pendant lights in a variety of sizes and colours. What they all have in common is their beautifully woven lampshade in rattan and abacá, a type of banana tree native to the Philippines, which is known for its strong plant fibres used in the production of rope and cordage. The durable material and tight weave give the lampshade a firm, almost curve-like appearance that beautifully combines the potential of the natural material with skilful and well-executed design craftsmanship. The larger versions of the lamp have a wide, flat lampshade and are therefore equipped with a diffuser that shields the light bulb and thus prevents the light source from glare. The light can therefore shine softly and comfortably on all sides. At the same time, the extra wide lampshade ensures a diffused light emission to effectively illuminate the surroundings.
