Grass XL Blue pendant light is a beautiful lighting collection with a consistent and coherent design. The series consists of wall, table, floor and pendant lights in a variety of sizes and colours. What they all have in common is their beautifully woven lampshade in rattan and abacá, a type of banana tree native to the Philippines, which is known for its strong plant fibres used in the production of rope and cordage. The durable material and tight weave give the lampshade a firm, almost curve-like appearance that beautifully combines the potential of the natural material with skilful and well-executed design craftsmanship. The larger versions of the lamp have a wide, flat lampshade and are therefore equipped with a diffuser that shields the light bulb and thus prevents the light source from glare. The light can therefore shine softly and comfortably on all sides. At the same time, the extra wide lampshade ensures a diffused light emission to effectively illuminate the surroundings.

Grass XL pendant light with large lampshade made of rattan and abacá With its expansive lampshade, the Grass XL pendant light is an eye-catching feature in any living space. The lampshade is handmade from rattan and abacá, a plant native to East Asia that is used in the production of ship ropes. Visually inspired by this, the light consists of overlapping strips in different warm colours. The black textile cable and metal canopy create a harmonious overall look. The Grass pendant light brings a natural accent to the living environment and is suitable for lighting the dining room or living room table, for example. The Grass series of lights was designed by product designer Jette Scheib, who founded her own studio after graduating from the Berlin University of the Arts and has been working primarily in the fields of interior and product design since 2018. Today, she lives and works in the Netherlands. The French company Forestier is responsible for the production of the light.
