The black fabric cable and the metal canopy, also in black, complete the overall look of the Parrot XL. The bulb socket is fitted to the inside of the lampshade and is surrounded by a small, separate diffuser. This ensures that the light can shine outwards without causing glare. The light’s design is the work of product designer Jette Scheib, who draws her inspiration primarily from nature, organic forms and everyday life. Since 2018, she has focused mainly on interior and lighting design.

Parrot is a colourful lamp with a beautiful natural design that makes it a must-have in any relaxed and bohemian-inspired interior. The lampshade is made of rattan and abacá, which are hand-woven in a dense pattern and have a rough surface that adds a tactile element to the lamp's design and emphasises its beautiful aesthetics. As the name suggests, the lamp is inspired by the colourful plumage and exuberance of the parrot. The colours interact beautifully in a cubist pattern that gives the surface a beautiful play of colour without appearing kitschy. The lampshade is relatively wide so it does not impede light emission. The lamp is part of a whole series that includes pendant, table, floor and wall lights in many different sizes. All come in three different colour schemes based on the shades brown, green and sand.
