Wall lamp Parrot made of Abacá fibers and raffia wicker A large, plate-shaped shade made of Abacá fibers with a graphic design in warm and cozy colors and a smaller shade of raffia wicker covering the bulb - this is the wall lamp Parrot of the French lighting manufacturer Forestier. Already off, the lamp is a great decoration on any wall, whether mounted as a single lamp or in several variants. Turning on the light creates a cozy, glare-free lighting in the room and the unique plate of natural fibers in its beautiful colors is magnificently set in scene. Abacá fibers are obtained from the interior of the plant of the same name and, thanks to their tensile strength and robustness, are also used for the manufacture of ship ropes. The raffia fiber used to weave the small umbrella is obtained by hand from the unopened leaf of the African raffia or buri palm. Jette Scheib, a product designer with her own studio in Barcelona, designed the Parrot series of lamps for French manufacturer Forestier. Scheib studied in Berlin and founded her own studio in 2005. Since then, she has designed products for many international companies and specializes in lighting, home accessories and gifts. Inspired by nature and organic shapes, Jette Scheib designs products with personality in perfect harmony and balance between aesthetics and technology.

Parrot is a colourful lamp with a beautiful natural design that makes it a must-have in any relaxed and bohemian-inspired interior. The lampshade is made of rattan and abacá, which are hand-woven in a dense pattern and have a rough surface that adds a tactile element to the lamp's design and emphasises its beautiful aesthetics. As the name suggests, the lamp is inspired by the colourful plumage and exuberance of the parrot. The colours interact beautifully in a cubist pattern that gives the surface a beautiful play of colour without appearing kitschy. The lampshade is relatively wide so it does not impede light emission. The lamp is part of a whole series that includes pendant, table, floor and wall lights in many different sizes. All come in three different colour schemes based on the shades brown, green and sand.
