ForgeFix single thread Coach Screws are zinc plated for increased corrosion resistance. Their hex head enables higher torque and faster use with socket drivers. The screws conform to DIN 571 standards and are designed for heavy-duty applications, including fixing timber to masonry and timber installations. They are widely used in fencing and joinery, and in satellite dish installations with nylon wall plugs. Zinc coatings prevent oxidation to create a longer lasting finish, forming a barrier and acting as a sacrificial anode if damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that does not trigger breakdown of the substrate’s surface integrity. The single thread design offers higher pull-out values and quicker insertion.
