Forgefix MEMROD16 Threaded Rod Zinc Plated M16 x 1m

These zinc-plated threaded rods provide a durable, corrosion-resistant fastening solution suitable for a range of applications. Conforming to DIN 975, the rods offer strong timber connections for soft furnishing projects and are also used in playground and climbing wall manufacturing. They are ideal for chemical fixing applications requiring non-standard sizes. The bright zinc finish enhances durability by reducing oxidation: the coating forms a barrier and acts as a sacrificial anode if damaged. Zinc oxide, left intact, can further impede oxidation by maintaining surface integrity, similar to oxide layers in aluminium and stainless steels. This threaded rod measures M16 in diameter and 1 meter in length, and is compatible with Drop-In Anchors and Masonry Anchor Shields, among other fixing products.
