Ball Magnet wall light – a lighting classic by Benny FRANDSEN Benny FRANDSEN, a Danish electrical engineer, dreamed of designing and producing lights after completing his training. After his first attempts at creating highly geometric lights proved unsuccessful, he realised that Danes preferred round shapes and created the Ball Magnet wall light and the Ball pendant light. The Ball Magnet wall light proved particularly successful and was soon to be found in almost every Danish household. The Ball wall light still boasts its classic design after more than 50 years, now also available in trendy colours and with contemporary lighting technology. Over the years, the Ball series has been expanded to include many models as well as floor and table lamps. The magnet built into the bracket and lampshade allows it to be rotated in all directions. The decorative rounded metal lampshade not only emits light directly downwards, but also indirectly upwards through the ring of small cut-outs in the top.
