Designed specifically for professional and enthusiast photographers and videographers using DSLR and DSLM (mirrorless) cameras, this 77mm base ring is more than just an adapter, it is the core of a versatile, secure, and future-proof filter ecosystem.Unlock unparalleled stability and confidence in your shoots. The centerpiece of this system is Freewell´s innovative Real Locking mechanism. Unlike traditional friction-based variable ND filters that can accidentally shift or drift during a dynamic shoot, this system provides a definitive, physical lock. Once you attach your Freewell Real Locking VND filter to this base ring, your chosen density setting is securely held in place. This ensures absolute consistency from shot to shot, eliminating ruined takes and giving you the peace of mind to focus on your composition, not your gear. This kit goes beyond simple filter attachment by offering robust protection for your valuable lens. The included lid, precision-crafted from the same high-quality materials as the ring, screws directly onto the base ring. This allows you to leave the base ring semi-permanently attached to your most-used 77mm lens. When your filter is not in use, simply attach the durable metal lid to safeguard your lens´s front element from dust, fingerprints, and impacts. This transforms your setup, making it always ready for action and dramatically speeding up your workflow on set or in the field.Engineered for a seamless user experience, the Freewell Base Ring is the gateway to a completely modular filter world. While it is the required foundation for the Real Locking VND filter, it is also compatible with other Freewell magnetic filters, such as Mist, Streak, and CPL. This allows you to build a customized filter kit that grows with your creative needs, all centered around this single, reliable base. Invest once in the foundation and expand your creative palette without needing a new system for every effect.Key Features:* Direct 77mm Lens Compatibility: Screws seamlessly onto any standard 77mm front filter thread, providing a secure and stable connection for your DSLR or mirrorless camera lens.* Freewell Real Locking System Foundation: Serves as the essential mounting point for the Freewell Real Locking VND filter, enabling the secure locking feature that prevents accidental setting changes.* Included CNC Machined Metal Lid: Offers premium, robust protection for your lens´s front element when the filter is not attached, allowing you to keep the base ring on your lens for rapid deployment.* Modular Ecosystem Integration: Acts as the core component for a wider system, compatible with other Freewell magnetic filters, offering a future-proof investment for your creative toolkit.* Precision CNC Machined Construction: Expertly crafted from high-grade materials to guarantee a flawless fit, exceptional durability, and a premium feel that matches the quality of your professional camera equipment. tradeinn Techinn
