Associated part numbers: 93183155, 0758 947, 0758 925, 0758 945, 0758947, 0758925, 0758945, 09201029, 93176772, 09201029, 3007580947, 207229, 33569. Symptoms can include: Complete loss of gear selection, loss of certain gears, or loss of reverse gear. Often the mechanism will get stuck in one gear. Alternatively, gears can be selected but it is a struggle to get in to / shift gears. The fault can be identified by inspecting the mechanism. It is common on these vehicles that a poor-quality plastic linkage on the gear selector linkage mechanism pops off causing vehicle gear shift faults. The push rod is made of a poor quality Nylon; this operates on metal ball joints with no lubrication and as a matter of course the plastic wears down on the ball joint sockets leading to the rod popping off of the ball joint/s. Our replacement push rod linkage arm allows you to replace just the component within the gear selector mechanism that fails without the cost and time consuming install of a complete unit. Our product features metal ball joints, with metal retaining pins, plus grease seals to keep the item lubricated when in use.
