WINEMAKER'S TASTING NOTES: “Preservation of fruit to retain the pure and delicate character of Pinot Noir was a focus for me with the 2019 harvest. Complex yet delicate fruit provides a full spectrum of cranberry, pomegranate and raspberry flavours with bright acidity and silky tannins. Light floral notes are complemented by a touch of oak, perfecting the wine with pleasant earthy almond character.” Johnnie Calitz (winemaker) AWARDS: SA Young Wine Show 2018 – National Winner & SA Young Wine Show 2018 – Regional Winner VINIFICATION: Hand-picked and sorted, the grapes fermented in small open top stainless steel tanks, under cool conditions with minimal intervention. Pressed off early the juice was transferred to 2nd fill 225L French oak barrels, the wine was matured for 6 months before final blending and bottling.
