Glen Moray Port Wood Finished, 70 cl

A quality Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Elgin, the capital of Speyside, where the distillery has been producing fine malt whisky, distilled traditionally in copper stills, since 1897. Ex-bourbon barrels from North America are used to mature the whiskies, giving Glen Moray its rich and spicy characteristics. Glen Moray Classic Port Cask Finish is a small batch release that combines the soft, gentle Classic Single Malt with the spicy, wine-like, tannic elements of the port casks from Porto Cruz in which it is matured. On the nose, toasted vanilla and subtle oak is followed by rich dried fruit along with subtle hints of dark chocolate and leather. The Port Cask Finish has a lemony tang which progresses into tastes of caramel and cinnamon and finishes with a spicy, honey sweetness.
