Unpeated single malt crafted in small batches at Scotland's oldest distillery, matured in three wood types: sherry-seasoned American oak, sherry-seasoned European oak, and American ex-bourbon casks. Fewer than 60 casks per batch. Glenturret Triple Wood Edition Single Malt Scotch 43% ABV Nose: Citrus is full and shows sharpness initially. Polished new oak follows. As this unfolds sweetie notes start to form, bonbons and boiled sweets are soft and the latter sharper. The oak almost moulds around all with hints of cinnamon and lemon cake to Palate: Fruity, soft and sweet. Apple and orange followed by cinnamon, toffee and wood spice. Hints of ginger and cassia are late arrivals with soft mellow oak. Finish: Soft, fruity and full.
