Round Bali bamboo wall light with switch Preserving traditional craftsmanship and enabling families to earn a living – this is what the Dutch manufacturer IT'S ABOUT ROMI achieves with its Good & Mojo brand by having many of its products handcrafted in Vietnam. Mainly people from small communities living in regions affected by poverty apply their craftsmanship to create the lampshades, thereby securing a livelihood for their families. This is also how the unique lampshade of the Bali wall light is created; it is woven from black and natural-coloured bamboo and features a stunning pattern. Bamboo is a sustainable material that produces more oxygen than trees and is notable for its rapid growth. The woven pattern creates gaps through which light can stream into the room, producing a particularly atmospheric effect. The use of warm white filament bulbs not only enhances the decorative effect but also boosts the cosy atmosphere in the room, which is perceived as very natural and pleasant simply through the appearance of the wall lamp. A circular cut-out is set into the front of the round lampshade, through which the bulb is directly visible, providing direct room lighting. Thanks to a switch on the black textile cable, Bali can be operated effortlessly from where it hangs, making it ideal for use next to a sofa arrangement or in a reading corner. Good & Mojo is also involved with other charitable organisations; for example, a tree is planted for every light sold. In addition, they make donations to provide people living in poverty with solar-powered products. They also place particular emphasis on the use of sustainable materials.
