Gran Hotel Abismo (Sillón Orejero)

Astisendo Grupo Editorial Gran Hotel Abismo Spanish Comic. Discover the explosive and visually stunning world of Gran Hotel Abismo, a masterful Spanish graphic novel from the acclaimed publisher Astiberri Ediciones. A standout in the Fan zone for collectors and enthusiasts of premium books and comics, this work is an essential acquisition for anyone passionate about thought-provoking narratives and groundbreaking art. It delivers a powerful, action-filled political satire that resonates with the complexities of the modern world, making it a truly unforgettable reading experience. In a world set in the not-too-distant future, where neoliberalism has become a state religion, we witness a kind of Shiva dance that represents the law of conservation of violence that the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu spoke of.The concealed institutional and structural violence of financial markets allied with the State gives way to a spectacular violence that occupies the streets and squares, sowing chaos and disrupting the social order.Marcos Prior (Necropolis) and David Rubín (The Hero, Beowulf) propose a political satire with action galore where reflection, emotion and formal experimentation are basic elements on which a clearly visceral comic is sustained. The Galician Rubín plays with composition and pulls from a rich palette of colors to put into images a suggestive text by the Catalan Prior, always inclined to touch on social, political and vital issues that concern him. This edition of Gran Hotel Abismo stands as a testament to the creative power of contemporary Spanish comics. The synergy between Marcos Prior´s incisive, socially-aware script and David Rubín´s dynamic, boundary-pushing artwork creates a powerful experience that is both intellectually stimulating and visually breathtaking. It´s a must-have for fans of the creators´ previous works and for readers seeking a story that challenges, entertains, and lingers long after the final page is turned.
