GUBI Satellite pendant light Ø 22 cm cream white

Lamp Masters
The Satellite pendant M in White Cloud - available in two sizes - was designed by Mathieu Matégot in 1953 and has a geometric shape and an organic shade that make it look like an sculpture. The lamp was named ‘Satellite’ by Matégot to honour the scientific developments that occurred in France in the years following the Second World War.
The Satellite pendant offers the characteristic Rigitulle-properties – the techniques and materials thought up by the designer himself to make it possible to bend and fold the fabric-like metal sheet into a pendant with a distinctive shape. The shade is available in five colours; Midnight Black, White Sky, Shy Cherry, Venetian Gold and Rainy Grey. The lamp is entirely unique, thanks to the bulb that is covered in perforated metal to ensure that it emits an atmospheric light to create a comfortable atmosphere.
The interplay between light and shadow is directed at the walls and floors alike to create a dramatic effect regardless of whether you place the lamp in a dining room, a hallway or a public space like a restaurant.

Lights.coSatellite - timelessly modern designer pendant light by Mathieu Matégot This luminous accessory still looks modern today, even though it was created in 1953. Its creator, the Hungarian-French designer, architect and artist Mathieu Matégot (1910 - 2001), developed the Rigitulle on the basis of perforated sheet metal. This is a thin layer of metal perforated in various patterns, which is flexible and can be moulded into the desired shape. The oval body of the Satellite pendant light's lampshade is made of creamy white Rigitulle; the light from the bulb used - ideally a linear bulb - is gently emitted into the room through the fine gaps in the material. The Satellite pendant light, produced by Danish manufacturer Gubi in impeccable quality, is the ideal furnishing element for private living areas, as well as for prestigious public areas or, for example, above a restaurant table.
