Once the toothbrush is in place, use one or two simple horizontal movements (in and out). There's no need for repeated brushing or toothpaste (unless your dentist has recommended a special gel). Unlike manual toothbrushes, interdental brushes should not be rotated around their axis. This can weaken the wire and cause it to break. After each space, rinse your toothbrush under running water to remove any remaining plaque and food before moving on to the next tooth.
