(1/48) HAJT79 The Hasegawa Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX R.A.F. is a highly detailed 1/48 scale plastic model kit of one of Britain's most iconic fighter aircraft. Developed to counter the introduction of the formidable Focke-Wulf Fw 190, the Spitfire Mk.IX became one of the Royal Air Force's most successful and widely used fighter variants during the Second World War. Containing 101 precision-moulded parts, the completed model measures approximately 197.5mm in length with a wingspan of 234mm. Hasegawa has accurately recreated the elegant elliptical wing, streamlined fuselage and detailed cockpit, complemented by finely engraved panel lines, clear canopy parts and excellent overall fit. The kit includes a detailed assembly guide and decals for two authentic wartime aircraft. Marking options include a Spitfire Mk.IX of No.316 Squadron RAF and a Spitfire Mk.XVI of No.443 Squadron RAF, allowing builders to display two distinctive operational aircraft from the later years of the war.
