The Head Discovery 78 Pro AM with PR 11 GW bindings is a versatile, unisex ski designed for advanced skiers seeking reliable performance across varied conditions. It features a lightweight construction that balances agility with stability, making it well suited for all-round skiing. At the core lies a wood core, providing natural flex and vibration dampening, complemented by layers of fibreglass that enhance torsional stiffness for improved edge control. The inclusion of graphene reinforces the structure without adding weight, contributing to responsive turning and precise handling. The ski profile incorporates an all-mountain rocker, which combines slight tip lift with a traditional camber underfoot. This allows for smooth initiation of turns on groomed slopes while maintaining solid grip and reliable edge hold on firmer snow. The sidecut radius and shape target medium-radius turns, catering to skiers comfortable making controlled, fluid arcs. The base is crafted from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHM C Base), known for its durability and ability to retain wax, facilitating consistent glide performance throughout the day. The PR 11 GW bindings offer compatibility with both alpine and GripWalk boots, combining safety and convenience for a broad range of users.
