TESTING & AC LOAD REQUIREMENT: AC solid-state relays CANNOT be bench-tested using only a multimeter continuity buzzer, as they require an active AC voltage supply (24–480VAC) and an actual load to switch on and conduct. NOTE: This is an AC-output relay; it does NOT switch DC loads (such as DC motors or 12V/24V DC batteries). 60A Rated Capacity (Derating Required): Rated for 60A theoretical maximum. For continuous safe operation, calculate sufficient headroom: maximum continuous load for resistive loads (e.g., heaters) is 30A (2X safety margin); maximum continuous load for inductive loads (e.g., motors, pumps) is 10A (6X safety margin). ⚠️ MANDATORY COOLING REQUIREMENTS: Solid state relays naturally generate internal heat during operation. When your actual working current exceeds 10A, the relay MUST be mounted on an aluminum heat sink with thermal paste applied to the baseplate to prevent thermal overload and permanent damage. LED Status Indicator & Spark-Free Design: Built-in LED light provides instant visual diagnostics—if the LED lights up but the load does not switch, verify your AC power connections and minimum load; if the LED does not light up, check the 3–32VDC input polarity.
