For the most reliable reading, the sample should be close to the reference temperature and free from bubbles. Not suitable for wine, beer or sugary liquids: This hydrometer is not suitable for wine, beer, liqueurs, mash, juice or other sugary / fermented liquids, as sugar and dissolved substances affect the measurement result.
