Three extra 1/4" screw holes on the shorter edge enable assembling with photographic accessories having 1/4" screw. The hex wrench is within reach due to a magnet piece embedded in the metal plate.The recessed design in the middle avoids influence on the application of adapter rings. Installation Tips: Detach the battery compartment cover from your camera and attach it to the corresponding opening on the base plate so as to facilitate the loading and unloading of camera batteries.
