The idea behind Dunfri Parka originally came to us from a mountain guide that wanted a longer insulation jacket to bring in his backpack.To stay comfortable in general but also as a safety garment if he had to spend the night outside.An insulation jacket that covers not only the torso but also the hips makes a big difference in a survival situation.Most of us spend a limited amount of nights sitting around in mountain passes but the lightweight, wonderfully warm performance of Dunfri Parka will make you happy however you choose to spend your winters.How does it work? Women´s Dunfri Parka is made with Spinner Ripstop, a very light and durable fabric and insulated with Primaloft® Gold, a cutting edge synthetic padding.Primaloft® Gold has a similar warmth-to-weight ratio as down, but performs much better in wet conditions.It packs down nicely in a stow pocket and has a wonderful soft feeling.Dunfri Parka is treated with a PFAS-free water repellency treatment.Both the fabric and the insulation is made from 100% recycled and recyclable polyester.We use synthetic padding not only for the performance benefits but also because we don´t believe birds should suffer for our comfort´s sake.When should I use it?
