Astisendo Grupo Editorial Houdini El Rey De Las Esposas Comic Spanish. Harry Houdini fascinated an entire generation while he was alive and continues to do so 80 years after his death. The King of Handcuffs is a graphic novel about a day in the life of Houdini and shows how his time and principles helped forge his art and personality.Jason Lutes and Nick Bertozzi manage to compress a good part of Harry Houdini´s life into the execution of one of his tricks, the jump from a Boston bridge in which he freed himself from handcuffs after throwing himself into the river. This event allows Lutes and Bertozzi to show some of the recurring themes in Houdini´s cleverly constructed career: carefully organized publicity stunts, secrecy, the close relationship with his wife, practice and physical preparation, among others.Houdini, probably the most famous man of his time, was a first-rate showman who knew he represented hope for the American public that idolized him.Lutes and Bertozzi, with a clear and effective narrative, manage to create not only the portrait of the man but also the suspense that Houdini generated in his performances. tradeinn Techinn
