Description
Hydrolux shower trays are designed for durability and ease of installation, offering a lightweight, high-performance solution for modern showers. Constructed from acrylic capped ABS, they deliver strong rigidity and safety, while remaining significantly lighter than traditional stone resin options. Typical installations include a lightweight tray around 18kg for a 1200 x 800mm size, with the option to use or omit dedicated riser legs. The trays are compatible with standard 40mm waste connections and include a Hi-Flow Waste capable of 32 litres per minute, featuring a vented dome and quick-release inner unit for easy maintenance. They are designed to be cut to fit specific layouts where needed, and feature universal compatibility with glass screens. The range is supported by a 10-year guarantee against manufacturing defects and is designed to be installed with minimal effort.
In addition to their light weight and ease of handling, the trays are produced with sustainability in mind. They avoid wood-based reinforcement such as chipboard, using Flax Particle Board instead, which offers strength with a more environmentally friendly profile. The materials meet relevant UK and EU standards, including CE, EN 14527 and EN 198, and REACH regulations, with EN 263 specifications for domestic acrylic sheet production. While WRAS certification isn’t required for trays, the product complies with key standards such as BS EN 14527, BS EN 1329/1:2000, and BS EN 1451/1:2000.
