Hyundai DHY8000SELR 5.5kW Diesel Generator

Hyundai DHY8000SELR is a long-running standby diesel generator designed for reliable backup power. It features a large 25L fuel tank to deliver up to 30 hours of operation at 50% load, making it suitable for homes and small businesses during outages. Powered by a 4-stroke, air-cooled D452 Hyundai diesel engine, it can produce a maximum output of 5.8 kW with a continuous output of 5.5 kW, and uses an AVR alternator to deliver clean, stable electricity for sensitive equipment. The unit is electric-start and ATS compatible, allowing automatic start when mains power fails and shut-off when power returns. Housed in a silenced canopy, it operates quietly at around 70 dB at 7 metres. Economical to run, it uses about 1 litre of diesel per hour and can run on red diesel. It comes with a Hyundai 1 year / 1,000 hours warranty and full UK parts backup for ongoing maintenance.

This model is designed for backup or occasional use, with a 3000rpm specification. It’s compatible with optional ATS modules and has a simple key-turn ignition for manual control.
