Imperial (silent) Gordon & MacPhail Single Malt Scotch 19 year old 43% ABV Nose: Rich tea and digestive biscuits unfold with herbal honey, pine nuts and sour apple. A touch of singed straw and leafy fragrance adds dry, elegant depth, echoing a quiet Speyside character. Palate: On the palate, succulent poached pears cloaked in syrup meet clove spice and almond milk, with ginger latte warmth, a thread of subtle smoke and herbal notes. Fresh straw, malty toffee and lemon rind mingle with aniseed, all carried by an oily, qu Finish: Peppery and malty with leafy/savoury nut shell dryness. Marzipan, sour apple and pear, clove and ginger, malty biscuits.
