Amazon Indonesian Medium Dark Roast Strong Ground Coffee 227g – Brown Bear Indonesia Sumatra Mandheling – Strength 4 – For V60 Filter Cafetiere French Press – Donation to Free The Bears Sumatra Mandheling is among Indonesia’s most renowned coffees, prized for its distinctively heavy body and low acidity. Sumatra is home to numerous volcanoes, including the massive volcanic crater that formed Lake Toba, resulting in fertile, mineral-rich soils that are excellent for growing intensely flavoured coffee beans. Grown at between 1,000 and 1,600 meters (3,300–5,250 feet) above sea level, Sumatra Mandheling’s hallmark earthy and spicy flavours are also due to the unique wet hulling coffee processing method called Giling Basah. The result: a famously full-bodied low acid coffee - thick, syrupy and satisfying with a muted acidity, dark chocolate and hints of nutmeg. The Brown Bear coffee range includes Real Colombia, Sweet Brazil, Guatemala Antigua, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Pichu Peru, Mount Kenya, Old Brown Java, India Monsoon Malabar, Mambo Italiano Espresso, La Vida Blend, Black Mamba High Caffeine, Cool Brazil Decaf, New Latin Espresso and Blue Mountain Blend as coffee beans, ground coffee and coffee bags. Donation to Free The Bears UK Charity with over 950 bears rescued & bear sanctuaries across SE Asia. Brown Bear coffee has donated over £40,000 to Free The Bears and has, to date, financed the building of Bear House No 4 in Free The Bear’s new bear sanctuary in Cambodia and is now financing the building Bear House No 7 in Cambodia.
