Rare Cask Type - Chinkapin oak is a rare North American white oak not vastly used in the industry that brings rich flavours and a depth to our Isle of Raasay single malt Scotch whisky that the much more common industry standard Quercus alba doesn’t bring. True to Our Lightly Peated Signature Singe Malt Style - Our peated and unpeated Raasay spirit has been fully matured, seperatley, in a selection of fresh and refill chinkapin oak casks to create this single malt Scotch. This is an industry first - as far as we know! Custom-made Oak Barrels - Specified with a heavy toast and heavy char, gives our new make spirit more contact with the oak providing a rich, dark colour and a complex flavour profile previously described by Whisky writer, Dave Broom, as the “summoning of breakfast time at a classic American diner.” Small-Batch, Handcrafted Scotch Whisky - Every drop of Isle of Raasay Single Malt is distilled, mature and bottled on the Isle of Raasay, harnessing the Scottish island’s pristine water and maximising its impact on the spirit
