Available in both two- and four-door versions from the early 1980s, it combined 4x4 traction with a robust yet straightforward design that made it highly dependable in demanding conditions. Its off-road capability made it particularly suitable for police forces operating in rural areas, countryside environments, and national parks. It was also well suited to longer patrols and specialist roles, including the transport of canine units. During the 1980s and 1990s, the Range Rover Police Car became a familiar sight across Britain, symbolising both capability and presence. Today, it stands as a classic example of a utility vehicle that successfully bridged the gap between working tool and everyday motoring icon.
