Coloured areas are created by drawing lines very close together, or lines drawn one on top of the other. You should start with very mild pressure and increase the pressure on each layer to achieve a stronger tone.Crosshatching technique:- Different colour values and nuances are achieved by drawing lines, one on top of the other, in a crisscross pattern. The crosshatching pattern should be thicker where darker shades are required.Wax sgraffito):- You work on top of a motif drawn in light colours using the shading technique, or over a layer of different coloured lines drawn in wax crayon. Then, cover the entire drawing with a layer of dark-coloured wax crayon.
