This adapter works like a multiple socket, enabling a 1x PCIe port to be used to obtain 2 4x PCIe ports. With ASM1182e chipset. The base fits into a PCI Express 1x, 2x, 4x or 16x port on a server or desktop PC. The daughterboard, connected to the base by a 60cm cable, has 2 PCIe 4x ports that you can use independently. You can replace this cable with a longer or shorter one, as it's a simple USB3 type A male / A male cable (but be careful about the quality if you want to replace our supplied cable!). If you need a large power supply for the PCIe ports, you can use the Sata connector to link the daughter plate to the PC power supply. Gold-plated contacts (better connectivity because resistance to oxidation over time).
