Kiln Dry Sand / Jointing Sand is used for brushing in-between joints of all types of block paving, creating a close & tight bond, adding stability to the block paving. Silica Sand ensures that the water can drain away freely through the laying course and sub-base preventing the build-up of surface water. Non-staining. The sand complies with BS 7533-3:2005 Table D.4. The Silica Sand is a sub-angular grain. Coverage: 50mm Block Thickness = Approx. 7.6 sqm/20kg bag. 60mm Block Thickness = Approx. 5.6 sqm/20kg bag. 80mm Block Thickness = Approx. 4.4 sqm/20kg bag The sand is classified as a medium grade sand (250um).
