The Knipex 46 31 and 44 31 J42 circlip pliers are forged from solid chrome vanadium steel and feature oil-hardened, polished heads for durability. Both variants use PVC-dipped handles to provide added comfort and grip during use. The 46 31 series offers 45° bent tips for internal circlip access, while the 44 31 J42 version follows DIN 5256 C with 45° bent jaws. These pliers are designed to handle bore sizes from Ø85 to Ø140 mm, with tip diameters around Ø3.2 mm for the J42 variant, and overall length of 310 mm for the 46 31 model.
