They feature straight, half-round jaws with knurled gripping surfaces and cutting edges hardened for durability. The tool is built from forged chrome vanadium electric steel with oil-hardening and offers ergonomic, multi-component or PVC grips, plus two KNIPEXtend interfaces for extensions, to support extended reach and improved handling. Cutting edges are capable of handling soft, medium-hard, and hard wire, with the edges induction-hardened to approximately 61 HRC for added wear resistance.
