PRODUCER - Established in 1638 by Christiano Kopke and his son, Nicolau Kopke. They came to Portugal as representatives of the Hanseatic League. The House of Kopke is the eldest porto wine export firm. TASTING NOTES - Bright brown colour with red hues. Aromas of dried fruit are dominant on the nose, yet fresh notes of red fruit (cherry) come to the fore. This colheita port is elegant and complex on the palate, laden with rich flavours integrated with the exuberance of spice. PAIRING - Chilling before serving, reveals all its finesse and sophistication, especially when drinking with desserts of caramel, dried fruit and spice, such as caramel fondant with apple and ginger jelly, tarte tatin, crème brulée and medium strength cheeses. SERVE - Serve this port at a temperature between 12 and 14°C. IDEAL GIFT - This port makes the ideal gift for a work colleague, friend or simply yourself!
