The result is a significant increase in casting distance and accuracy, allowing you to consistently place your rig exactly where you need it, cast after cast. This precision is further enhanced by the inclusion of two line-friendly casting clips. These clips enable you to fish two different spots with pinpoint accuracy without fear of damaging your mainline, giving you a tactical advantage when building a swim and exploring your fishing area. When you hook into a powerful specimen carp or barbel, the Zelos Distance truly comes into its own. The responsive quick drag system allows you to switch from a free-running spool to a locked-down fighting drag with just a minimal turn, giving you instant and total control during those critical first moments of the fight and throughout surging runs. Internally, a set of 6 + 1 stainless steel bearings ensures a silky-smooth performance under immense pressure, while the powerful 4.7:1 gear ratio provides the immense cranking power needed to retrieve heavy feeders from range and confidently steer large fish away from snags.Every component of the Zelos Distance is built for performance and longevity. The machined, single-piece reel handle provides a solid, flex-free connection for maximum winding power, finished with a comfortable soft-touch knob for a secure grip in all conditions. To combat common line management issues, the reel features an anti-twist line roller that preserves the integrity of your line, and an innovative floating line rotor guard that cleverly prevents the frustrating problem of line slipping under the spool. This combination of features ensures you spend more time fishing effectively and less time dealing with tangles.
