It is available in a range of intermixable colors, making it suitable for restoring old gilding work and providing a gilt finish to new surfaces. Technical specifications Volume: 30ml Installation Seal porous surfaces, such as wood and plaster, with Fontenay Base before applying Gilt Cream. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust. Usage Apply to the surface with a cotton cloth or small brush for intricate areas. Allow to dry for a minimum of four hours, longer if possible. Finish can be left matte or buffed to a shine. For a better finish, apply several thin coats instead of one thick coat. Clean tools in white spirit. Always test the product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for color, compatibility, and end result. Other information Gilt Cream can be revived or thinned with turpentine or good quality white spirit.
