FOR LITHIUM-ION BATTERY FIRES & CLASS A FIRES: This extinguisher is suitable for lithium-ion batteries with a power rating of up to 60Wh, such as laptops and phone chargers. Also effective on class A fires that commonly involve paper, wood, textiles and cardboard. Class A fires are one of the most common fires in the home. This lithium-ion battery extinguisher would be an excellent ‘2-in-1’ solution to combat these two vastly different types of fire risk. HOW TO USE – AIM, SQUEEZE & SWEEP: Firechief’s 500ml lithium-ion battery fire extinguisher is aerosol-based, which makes it easier for people with limited mobility or lifting ability to be able to put out a fire. Simply pull out the yellow loop tag and press down with the handle to release. The extinguisher will douse flames and reduce heat while preventing further spread of the fire. KEEP BY HOME CHARGING STATIONS: Store by the typical charging locations around your house, such as by the bed, in the living room, office, study or garage workspace. We recommend only charging lithium-ion battery devices when you are awake and present in the home as these fires can escalate quickly. Most traditional fire extinguishers currently found in homes are not effective in dealing with this type of fire. Please note this size of extinguisher is not suitable for tackling car battery fires.
