1.Direct replacement outer sliding door handle for Ford Transit models that have a sliding side loading door. Fits Ford Transit Mk8 2014 to 2019, Transit Mk9 2019 onwards, Transit Custom 2012 to 2023, Tourneo Custom 2012 to 2023, Transit Connect 2013 to 2022 and Tourneo Connect 2013 to 2022. One part fits the left or the right side of the sliding door, so the same handle is used on either side. Replaces 1769292, BK21V26600AA and BK21-V26600-AA, and is supplied as one outer door handle. 2.Symptoms of a worn sliding door handle: the handle feels loose or floppy, it no longer springs back, it wobbles in the door, or you can pull it and the door still will not open. The usual cause is a broken plastic hook inside the handle, and you may also notice cracks in the plastic body. Important: if the door is hard to open or close and you hear a pop or a catch, that is normally a door alignment problem with the rollers or strikers, not the handle, so check those parts first. 3. Black plastic outer sliding door handle with a textured finish and no lock hole, shaped to match the original part. The handle has two pivot ends with clip fittings that slot into the door, and it is made for a sliding side loading door. Reference numbers 1769292, BK21V26600AA and BK21-V26600-AA. Weight about 0.2 kg. Supplied as one handle; the outer bezel or cover cap around it is a separate part and is not included. 4. Fitting takes about 15 minutes with basic tools. Open the sliding door and look at the door edge for a small plastic cover in line with the handle's fixed end, then prise it off with a trim tool. Behind it is a Torx screw, T15 to T27 by year. Loosen this screw a few turns only, it need not come out. The fixed end then releases, pull the handle out, and slide the main part sideways towards the rear of the van. Refit in reverse. You do not need to remove the interior door panel. 5. Three checks before you buy. One: this handle fits models with a sliding side door only; it will not fit a van or car with a normal hinged door. Two: the same handle fits the left and the right side of the sliding door, so one part covers each door.
