The new-make underpinning this single malt took Gold Medal for “Best in Canada” at the prestigious 2019 World Whisky Awards. Jim Murray’s 2020 Whisky Bible scored this oak-matured expression 93 points saying it “not only ticks all the boxes in terms of desirability but adds a few extra’s on for good measure.” Traditionally distilled using Scottish methods and pot stills, this single malt was matured in select STR (shave-toast-rechar) Portuguese red wine barriques. Nose: Wonderfully complex with red berries, dried fruit, demerara sugar, oak & honey Palate: Smooth, creamy, layered tropical fruits, wood spices, cocoa and heather-honey, with a lingering oak finish.
