Lights.co Pretty designer table lamp Elmetto with swivel head With the name Elmetto - in German "the helmet" - the most important feature of this table lamp by the Italian designer Martinelli Luce is already described. The semicircular lampshade with a built-in shield made of white lacquered aluminium looks like a helmet that protects the foot. This can be swivelled, so that the light emitted radiates more directly or indirectly to the outside according to personal preferences. The table lamp itself is made of coloured plastic with a glossy surface, which gives it an even higher quality appearance. Whether as a reading lamp next to the sofa or as a bedside lamp next to the bed - Elmetto is the perfect companion for the cosy hours of the day. Martinelli Luce luminaires seem to be inspired by nature and geometric shapes, creating functional lighting systems. These are created from materials that reflect the true characteristics of the lamps. Some of these unique luminaires are exhibited in the most important design museums in the world. Martinelli Luce offers not only luminaires for private use, but also technical systems specially designed for use in offices, shops, hotels and other public areas. The focus here is on modern technologies that optimise energy consumption and offer light new possibilities for development.

Lamp Masters

In 1976, Martinelli Luce created the small yet iconic Elmetto table lamp. The shape of the lamp is inspired by a military helmet, while its colours are joyful and era-appropriate. The lampstand is made from a resin structure, while the lampshade is aluminium, painted white on the inside to ensure the best lighting possible. The design is functional and intended for daily use, which includes regular use of the circuit breaker. To accommodate this usage trend, the circuit breaker is placed on the front of the lampstand, making it quick and easy to locate and use. The different settings for the lampshade ensure an intelligent and practical element – if you want a sharper, more focused light, all you have to do is tilt it. Use the lamp on your nightstand, on your windowsill, or by your desk, and adjust the light to your requirements. Let the lamp fill the room with colour, joy, and excellent Italian design. Choose your favourite colour out of the following: orange, white, blue, yellow, black, red, green, and pink.
