HOW IS IT MADE - Merser & Co. Double Barrel Gold Rum is a masterful blend of six carefully selected aged rums from Jamaica, Barbados and the Dominican Republic. Once blended, this natural, golden, artisanal Rum receives a secondary cask maturation in ex Bourbon, ex Scotch, Oak Barrels in the heart of London for six months allowing the different flavours and aromas to gently harmonise for a smooth, refined finish. THE TASTE - On the nose you will find alluring Vanilla sweetness with flashes of vibrant Tropical Fruit and a wonderful Toasty Oak character. The palate is mouth-coating, warming and generous with soft notes of Vanilla, more of that Tropical Fruit and some Wine-like notes created through the cask maturation process. Toasty Oak returns on the finish alongside sweet Vanilla and hints of Pastry Cream. HOW TO ENJOY - Seriously good with Ginger Ale, Cola or served in a classic Rum Cocktail such as an Old Fashioned or Daiquiri. Wonderful enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a little ice.
