The M309 Joshua Ambient Echo is the MXR home effect pedal capable of reproducing the ambient atmospheres typical of the 60s, 70s and 80s by mixing two echos and one modulation. With the Division control you can select the time of primary repetitions, adding secondary to 1/4 of the time with the Echo 2 knob. The Mod control adjusts the intensity of the modulation, while the Voice knob manages the octave mix (-1, +1, +2). Pressing the Trails button continues delay even after deactivating the pedal. The Echo 2 control adds a series of 1/4 repeats that can be adjusted through advanced settings. To directly control the delay time, you can connect a tap tempo or an external control via the CTR jack. Through external control you can maximize feedback for a "frozen" delay. The modulation adjusts with the Mod control to refine the texture of the effect, and the Voice control lowers the signal by one octave and raises it by one and two octaves, offering organ-like sound. If basic adjustments are not enough to find your own sound, advanced features allow you to adjust up to 12 different parameters based on how the LEDs flash at the secondary delay mix.
