Stellarscope Stellar kaleidoscope that faithfully reproduces the main stars and constellations from both hemispheres. Stellarscope is a professional, precisely designed, "retro" style instrument. It provides a map of the night sky, labeling the major stars and constellations (it has both versions, for both the northern and southern hemispheres, plus a field of view for different latitudes). Easy to use - Each section rotates separately from the others. Align the month and date section (left section) with the time (middle section) by rotating the sections until the current date and time line up with the white meeting marks. Hold the telescope vertically with the poles aligned correctly (east facing east, west facing west). Look through the eyepiece and adjust the focus (move the eyepiece in/out) until the map can be seen clearly. Compare with the visible night sky to identify and name the stars. A flashlight is included for use when there is not enough light to see the image clearly. Simply turn on the flashlight on the opposite end of the eyepiece so that the star map is visible. It can be used to track the passage of specific stars and constellations in the sky. Covers every day/night of every year.
