Visible motion is emphasised through expanded sway bars borrowed from the 990 across the upper, while the sculpted pod midsole with a prominent ABZORB and SBS cushioning setup highlights the familiar comfort of New Balance’s cushioning platforms.

The shoe combines suede leather partial construction with synthetic details, supported by a leather and textile upper, textile lining, and a synthetic sole. The design features a dual-density midsole for responsive cushioning, a tongue logo inspired by the original 991, and a translucent heel device, creating a lightweight, breathable option for everyday wear.

Sway bars from the 990 are expanded across the upper for a sense of motion, while the sculpted pod midsole places emphasis on cushioning. The ABZORB cushioning pad stabilises and absorbs impact, with the upper made from leather and textile materials and a textile insole for comfort. The Moonrock colourway with marl pattern completes the distinctive look.
